We had our annual Christmas Party for the children of Nomthandazo Children's Care Centre last year at the Far-away Tree party venue in Benoni.
After un-loading the many wonderful gifts donated by so many of you, an entire kombi full in fact, the venue filled with life as the children arrived and took over. After a short prayer and a bit of song, it was time to party. The kids were entertained by means of a clown, jumping castles, jungle gyms, little motorbikes which i might add caused more traffic jams and collisions than Gallooleys could ever conjure. Then Santa arrived on the scene and everything calmed down to a halt and then smiles graced every child's face, as they knew exactly what time it was...time to recieve their pressies!
After lunch and loads of sweets and chocolate and coldrink and chips and yoghurt, they inevitably grew tired with big yawns and sleepy eyes, the end of the long day had arrived, not that they minded, as they had had one of the most awesome days of their year, and it would be one of those days that would be hard to forget.
A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers of the day, Metsep and staff, Travel Motives and staff, Express Hauliers and staff, for making this day a very memorable one. And a huge Thank You to every one of our contributors, because without you none of this would have taken shape. We appreciate YOU.
