This years Christmas was nothing short of absolutely stunning, filled to the brim with fun, smiles and laughter!
We arrived early to set up the venue, bringing out the christmas tree and the loads of pressies for the children. Sponsor after sponsor pulled into the parking lot to spend the day with the children, bringing with them snacks and more pressies! Finally the children arrived, just as we finished setting up, and my word were they surprised! They got to their tables laid full with a goodie bag, chocolates and a coldrink, they tucked right in and loaded up on all the sugar they needed for the fun filled day ahead. Once they had finished it was time for a short prayer and a quick thanks to the sponsors. Before the children were let loose, they sang and danced to show off their vocals and rythm which blew everyone away, some of the volunteers trying to keep up with a few of the dance moves...to no avail. Party Time! Jumping castles, slippy slides, jungle gyms, trampolines, motorbikes nothing was spared and neither were the volunteers as they joined in on the fun. It was magical! Lunch time came at just the right time as the children needed to refill their tanks, as they finished Santa arrived, it seems that he had lost some weight during the year so we filled him out with a pillow for a belly to get him back into shape. The childrens eyes lit up as they knew what was coming next...Pressies!!!
It was a wonderful day had by all. The children really had an amazing time, which was evident by the full tummies and the sleep weary eyes they had as they left for home.
